The film magazine writes that the actress is currently in London for the filming of the remake of ‘Snow White’. “Yet the organization of the Oscars is investigating how Zegler can be present on Sunday at the presentation of the prestigious film awards in Los Angeles,” it sounds.
The 20-year-old actress had previously announced that she was not invited to the Academy Awards. That confession caused surprised reactions and the story was picked up en masse by various media. On Twitter, the actress thanked her followers for the support.
West Side Story has a chance to win seven Oscars on Sunday. The film was nominated for Best Director (Steven Spielberg), Best Picture, Best Supporting Actress (Ariana DeBose), Best Cinematography, Best Costumes, Best Production Design and Best Sound. Zegler, who plays the role of Mary, does not stand a chance of a statuette.
