A good four years after his return to West Ham United, the current season with iconic coach David Moyes could be the last at the Irons, even if the London club has already done everything in its power to retain the 60-year-old for a longer period of time. Moyes, however, announced that he would not decide until the end of the season whether he wanted to accept the offer.

“I had really good conversations with the owners, with David Sullivan and Karren Brady. There is a contract for me there and I am the one who decided that I want to wait until the end of the season,” Moyes explained during a press conference on Friday.
Moyes made his first stop at the London Stadium between 2017 and 2018. At the turn of the year 2020, the coach took over the team again and increased the number of his games for the Hammers to 244 in all competitions to date. With Harry Redknapp (301), only one West Ham coach has played more games than Moyes since the introduction of the Premier League. Early in the current season there were reports of tensions within the club and between Moyes and squad planner Tim Steidten due to alleged differences of opinion regarding player purchases. James Ward-Prowse, who was the subject at the time, was ultimately signed for more than 30 million euros.
