West Flemish Ukrainians support homeland
It is a nerve-wracking period for Ukrainians in our country. They keep in constant contact with the home front and are told stories of extreme aggression. Everyone is holding their breath for the coming days. “We hear stories of people who flee, who leave their car on foot 15 km from the border in Poland,” said one of those present. The powerlessness also plays tricks on the Ukrainians. They therefore look to the European Union and expect more than what has happened so far.
Also in Kortrijk, about 250 Ukrainians and Kortrijk residents gathered at the Broeltorens this evening to show their support for Ukraine.
