West Flemish sisters escape death in fire in Finnish hostel: “We stood outside in our pajamas for more than an hour at -25 degrees”

Two West Flemish sisters narrowly escaped death last night when a fire broke out in the hostel in Finland where they were staying. Maaike Lauwereyns (34) from Snaaskerke woke up around midnight and saw an orange glow. The Northern Lights, she thought at first. But when she opened the curtain, she was horrified to see flames everywhere.
