West Flemish fruit sector wants to tackle challenges

Fruit growers discussed this with local politicians this morning at an apple and pear company (Myngheer) in Zuidschote near Ypres.

As a fruit region, West Flanders is not that big, just under 800 hectares in total, good for about 90 companies. At Myngheer, they mainly sell in their own country, and they also sell at home: an important part of their turnover. They want the fruit from here to be promoted better. Watch the video report above.
