In the women’s football league, Bayer Leverkusen booked an away win through a goal in added time.

The team of Bayer coach Roberto Pätzold won 1-0 (0-0) on Sunday at the 1st FC Nürnberg. Shortly before the end, Loreen Bender scored the decisive goal for the Werkelf.

When a lot of things indicated a goalless draw, the guests still scored a goal: after a corner from the right side, FCN goalkeeper Rusek grabbed the ball, which landed from the back of the substitute Leverkusener Loreen Bender from a short distance.

The Nuremberg women no longer recovered from the late shock. It stayed with 1-0 for Leverkusen, which was well deserved, but also happy when it came.
