Were thunderstorm warnings exaggerated? Our weatherman David Dehenauw explains

The fierce thunderstorms that were warned for, eventually hit less hard than feared. There were no large hail balls, but lightning strikes did cause damage in a few places. Due to the predicted storm, several parks and forests were closed, events have also been canceled or shortened. Our weatherman David Dehenauw spoke in VTM News of a “false alarm”, but points out that the RMI followed the procedures correctly since “almost all weather maps indicated the chance of fierce thunderstorms and large hail balls” and that thunderstorms “are always accompanied by uncertainty go”.
