The Montreux Jazz Festival has announced the next installment in The Montreux Years series. You can hear performances by jazz icon Chick Corea between 1981 and 2010. The album will be released posthumously on September 23, 2022.
Chick Corea: The Montreux Years is available on vinyl, CD and as an HD audio stream. The recordings of his performances at the Montreux Jazz Festival have been restored and remastered. Corea has already been an integral part of the festival line-up 23 times – six performances have been reassembled and are now being released. The record includes timeless classics like Bud Powell (1997), Quartet No. 2″ (1981) or “Trinkle Tinkle” (1972). It starts with the live recording from 2001 entitled “Fingerprints”, which appeared on “Trilogy”. Also included in the collection are liner notes and previously unpublished photos.
