Werder Bremen: Release for Nicolai Rapp – 1. FC Kaiserslautern on it?

Interest from home and abroad

When Nicolai Rapp wasn’t injured or suspended, he always played for Werder Bremen last season. Things are different this season: the 26-year-old has played just 65 minutes in eight brief appearances so far. In winter, the paths of the green-white and the all-rounder could therefore separate.

“We don’t necessarily want to get rid of Rappo. But if he comes to us with an offer that is attractive for him and the club, we would listen to it,” confirmed Clemens Fritz, Werder’s head of professional football and scouting “Picture”. The newspaper reported on previous talks between the players and Bremen, which ended with a corresponding release for the winter.

“We as a club are not pushing anything,” Fritz made it clear that Werder would continue to plan with Rapp for the time being, who is still tied until 2024. But Fritz also knows: “Of course he had hoped for more playing time in the first half of the season.”

Farewell to Werder Bremen? 1. FC Kaiserslautern & SV Sandhausen on Rapp

The “dyke room“ recently reported that several clubs from Germany and abroad would show interest in Rapp, including SV Sandhausen and 1. FC Kaiserslautern, who had already been linked to Rapp in the summer. FCK coach Dirk Schuster then said in the “Rheinpfalz” that Rapp was a “very interesting player”.
