Midfield talent from Nigeria
SV Werder Bremen is apparently about to sign a defensive midfielder: Tochukwu Nnadi from Bulgaria’s Botev Plovdiv. The local online portal “PlovdivDerby.com“ reports that the Hanseatic League has agreed with the 20-year-old Nigerian about a change in the winter. Nnadi, one of his team’s most valuable players with a market value of 700,000 euros, would be Bremen’s first new signing in the coming transfer period.

The “six” moved to Plovdiv’s reserves as an 18-year-old in the summer of 2021 and was promoted to the professional squad around six months later. To date he has played 42 games for the first team (one assist), but he was only allowed to start in 18 of them. In the current season he also commutes between the starting eleven and the bench.
Nnadi is a current U20 national team player for his country and took part in the U20 World Cup in Argentina with Nigeria this year. He was used in all five games, twice as a joker. In the quarterfinals against South Korea it was over for the “Super Eagles” after extra time.
