Not used due to injury
Oscar Schönfelder will not return to regular club Werder Bremen after his loan to SSV Jahn Regensburg. On Saturday, both clubs announced the permanent transfer of the 22-year-old to the second division, for which he was not used last season due to a cruciate ligament rupture. The offensive player signed a contract until June 30, 2025.
“We are pleased that Oscar has decided to continue on the path with SSV Jahn. He has not yet been able to show his qualities due to injury, but we are convinced that Oscar can now show everyone what he’s made of,” said Regensburg’s managing director Philipp Hausner.
Regensburg had previously announced another newcomer. Dominik Kother, who was loaned out by Karlsruher SC to SV Waldhof Mannheim last season, is also coming to SSV Jahn. The 23-year-old also signed a working paper until 2025.
