Marvin Ducksch is onePictureAccording to the report, the top transfer candidate at Union Berlin. The 29-year-old striker from Werder Bremen is only tied to the Weser until 2024, where SVW manager Clemens Fritz explained to the newspaper that talks about extensions are not yet being held.
Ducksch climbs: The top scorers in the Bundesliga
The Bremen team want to keep Ducksch, who shared sixth place in the top scorer list with eleven goals: “First of all, we want to secure the class, then we will start talks. He’s in excellent shape. We want to keep the quality in the squad and go into the next season with him,” Fritz said, according to the newspaper. Union Berlin was asked in vain for a statement. “It’s a good sign that our players are interesting for other clubs,” commented Fritz. “It’s an appreciation of our performance this season.”
SV Werder celebrated Ducksch and fellow striker Niclas Füllkrug (30) as the first duo of the green-whites since 2016/17, each of which scored a double-digit number of goals in a season. Füllkrug leads the scorer list with 16 goals, Ducksch advanced with three goals in the 4-2 win at Hertha BSC. The situation is different for FC Union, nine places ahead of Bremen. With nine goals, Sheraldo Becker is still in the single digits for the Köpenickers.

Center forward rumors surround several candidates at the capital club. The TM community most likely sees a commitment from Dawid Kownacki (26) from Düsseldorf, who, unlike Ducksch, is available for free in the summer. The Bremen striker reportedly has an exit clause of 5.5 million euros.
It’s two for the first time since 2016/17 #Werder-Pros again managed to hit double digits in a season. #filling pitcher (16) and #Ducksch (11) have already scored one more goal this season than they did then #Kruse (15) and #Gnabry (11). pic.twitter.com/ZyAx4aZaKT
