Bundesliga club Werder Bremen loaned Eren Dinkci to newly promoted club 1. FC Heidenheim in the summer to increase his chances of getting match practice. Although SVW is definitely relying on the attacker who has flourished this season in the future, a contract clause could put a stop to their plans.
Eren Dinkci’s future at Werder Bremen is apparently by no means set in stone, even after his return to the Green-Whites in the summer.
As “Bild” reports, he can leave the club early thanks to an exit clause. The amount should be five million euros. The 22-year-old’s working paper at Osterdeich is actually valid until 2025.
However, Werder Bremen is very interested in a long-term collaboration due to the striker’s rapid development in the league competition from Heidenheim. Dinkci scored seven goals in 20 Bundesliga games this season. The lightning-fast attacker also prepared a goal.
Werder Bremen announces talks
Werder Bremen’s head of licensing, Clemens Fritz, confirmed to “Bild” that they may be talking to Eren Dinkci about an early extension in the near future: “We will sit down with his agency as soon as possible to discuss what happens next in the summer .”
The former U20 international recently made a good impression in the newly promoted side’s 2-1 win in Bremen. With his sprint he initiated Heidenheim’s second goal from Jan-Niklas Beste. Fritz praised: “I congratulated him after the game. Eren did very well again. He has great dynamics, strong speed. He’s developing really well.”
Eren Dinkci was born in Bremen and came to the Green-Whites as a U19 player. As his father recently explained, the youngster’s “greatest wish” is to be one of the regular players at Werder Bremen from next season.
