Werder Bremen | Ducksch unpacks about suspension: “I didn’t behave well”

Attacking player Marvin Ducksch still has a bad conscience more than two and a half months after being suspended for one game and the subsequent exit from the DFB Cup of his club Werder Bremen.

The 28-year-old told the “kicker” in an interview that it was completely justified that he had been punished and that the punishment had turned out like this.

The striker was dropped from the squad for the match against SC Paderborn “for disciplinary reasons” and Bremen lost on penalties. “In turn, I feel bad when I’m asked about it internally – because I’ve damaged the team,” said Ducksch.

After the 2-0 defeat at FSV Mainz 05, national player Niclas Füllkrug’s partner in attack missed “most of the mandatory regeneration measures” and missed a team meeting and was penalized for it.

“I didn’t behave well,” admitted Ducksch, but also said: “It was an English week, maybe we would have rotated like that, you don’t know. If we had progressed, nobody would have talked about it anymore.”
