You have to be fair, Schalke were clearly better.
Bad luck in the end and the goal was not given (but it was the right decision) and in the other clear situations Pavlenka or someone else just saved… Could have gone differently.
Otherwise we were more compelling at the front. I also don’t understand why you didn’t react at half-time and took Mohr out or made other changes. Weiser could do whatever he wanted with him… It doesn’t matter whether there is a shortage of staff or not, that’s a mistake on many levels… Mohr, who isn’t suitable for the Bundesliga as a defender, and there’s nothing the coach can do about it. To be honest, we should have capitalized on that a lot more.
Schalke has shown for the first time this season that they can do something offensively on their own. And yet it was not enough for anything because an executor is missing. And I also think that you make a big mistake here by putting Terodde in the starting XI again and again. He simply does not have the necessary level for league 1… But instead of giving Polter real chances, he always plays to Terodde… incomprehensible, at the latest after this game Polter has to play from the start and Terodde out.
And I don’t know why a Mohr plays as LV when you have a Calhanoglu anyway. Those are just wrong personal decisions that you simply can’t afford in the Schalke situation.
Speaking of line-up mistakes… I saw those with us today too. Friedl is simply not an LV, he has proven that so many times, why was he set up there today? Young was fit. Also, I didn’t like Veljkovic in the first half, you could have reacted here too.

The win was lucky but NOT undeserved. If you don’t do it up front, you’ll get it in the back, that was the case with Schalke today, and the defense was far too vulnerable, especially on the left side of defence, and the center was not well sorted with reserves and crosses either. .. it was clear very soon that it was only a matter of time when Weiser or someone else would bring a good ball to gap or duksch from the right… and that happened then.
