Bundesliga club Werder Bremen will have to do without their midfielder Leonardo Bittencourt in the next game at Bayer Leverkusen.
“Leo has developed bone edema on his ribs. That’s why he’s still in pain. We can rule out his assignment to Leverkusen. But we assume that he’ll be available again after the international break,” said Werder’s professional football -Head Clemens Fritz.
Goalkeeper Jiri Pavlenka, on the other hand, is about to return to the goal. “Things are looking good for Pavlas so far. He will probably start training again tomorrow,” said Fritz. The Czech had to be replaced injured in the first half of last Friday’s 1-0 home defeat by FC Augsburg.
