For Diogo Leite from 1. FC Union Berlin, the season in the Bundesliga ended prematurely according to club information.

The defender was injured in the game at VfL Bochum (1-1) in the second half on Sunday. After a shot from Matus Bero, he sustained a larynx fracture, i.e. a break of the cartilage.

For security reasons, LEIT also takes a break and training break lasting several weeks in order to rule out the risk of another hit or blow.

Bleite follows the training as a spectator

Bleite had traveled back from Bochum to Berlin on Monday. On Tuesday afternoon, the Portuguese pursued the training of its teammates on the edge of the practice area.

Bleite was one of the regular players of the Iron. It should be replaced in the upcoming encounters as in Bochum by veteran Kevin Vogt. The Köpenicker will play the next game on Saturday (3:30 p.m.) in the stadium at the Alte Försterei against Werder Bremen. The season has already been decided for the Berliners. The team of coach Steffen Baumgart has the relegation.
