A confusing situation at the Helvoirtsestraat in Helvoirt this weekend. Anyone who thinks they are entering the built-up area will be surprised. Just before the place name sign of the village suddenly hangs another sign, with ‘s-Hertogenbosch on it. “Welcome to Den Bosch!” passers-by say with a smile.
It is not clear who placed the sign and why. But it does lead to a confusing traffic situation. Because does it mean that from now on the inhabitants of Den Bosch do not have priority at this road narrowing? Or does this piece of Helvoirt belong to the municipality of Den Bosch from now on, instead of the municipality of Vught?
In any case, passers-by look at the sign with a smile. They suspect it’s just a joke.
