“Very clear and bright boy”
SV Wehen Wiesbaden and Suheyel Najar are going their separate ways with immediate effect. Both parties agreed to terminate the contract, as announced on Saturday. The 27-year-old attacking midfielder then signed for FC Viktoria Köln from the 3rd division. Born in Cologne, he came to Wiesbaden from Fortuna Cologne last summer and is now drawn back to his hometown to Viktoria, where he was already active for half a year in the first half of the 2019/20 season.
“He struggled a bit last year with an ankle injury he sustained in the cup final against us. That was certainly one of the reasons why we even had the chance to get on board again. Now we are super happy that he is here. He is extremely dangerous in goal with his left foot whenever he pulls inwards, always has traction in depth, is extremely good at dribbling. The conversations with him were really great, ‘Su’ is a very clear and bright boy. We look forward to him. We’ll have to wait a bit for him because he can’t start preparation until a little later for health reasons. But it’s great that he’s here,” said coach Olaf Janßen.
