The posters of the approximately 200 hostages kidnapped from Israel by the terrorist organization Hamas show – this is what Berlin’s ruler is campaigning for.

Kai Wegner (51, CDU) on Wednesday to the BZ: “Remembering the fate of the victims of this barbaric act of terror is a legitimate and correct concern. I think that these images can be shown – and should be shown.”

On Sonntagstrasse (Friedrichshain), police officers tore down portraits of Israeli abductees from an advertising column and crumpled them up. Reason: The posters violate press law, there was no imprint underneath. The video recordings of this action were disturbing.

Wegner continued: “I expect the responsible authorities to create legal certainty for our civil servants as quickly as possible. During this tense time, they provide outstanding service every day and night. They have my full support for this.”

According to BZ information, the radio patrol crew first asked the state security and then took down the posters.
