Fnac / Darty announced this week that its subsidiary WeFix, which specializes in the repair of electronic products, is joining the network of Apple Authorized Service Centers (CSAA). Installed in certain shopping malls and in many stores of the Fnac / Darty group, WeFix will therefore have access to official Apple parts for the repair of certain brand products. This approval will also allow WeFix technicians to carry out repairs without compromising the warranty of the Apple devices on which they work, something they could not do before.
Clearly, having your iPhone, iPad or Apple Watch repaired at WeFix will be the same as taking your damaged device directly to the Genius Bar of an Apple Store. This is good news for consumers: the waiting time before a repair at Apple is sometimes very long.

Mac repairs are off the menu
As pointed out Numerama the Fnac/Darty group undertakes to train its WeFix repairers according to Apple’s precepts, so that they are up to date on the Cupertino giant’s official repair methods. We also learn that this partnership between Fnac / Darty and Apple will come into force in 2022, and that the French group will sell AppleCare insurance for Apple products … instead of its home warranty extensions.
” [Cet accord] aims to simplify the process for Apple customers by allowing them to centralize the different stages of their experience within the Fnac Darty Group brands: from the purchase of Apple products to their certified repair, through the subscription of damage insurance and theft to better protect their iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch “, explains moreover Fnac / Darty in a communicated shared this March 21.
Note, however, that the repairs carried out officially by WeFix on Apple products will (a priori) not apply to Macs and MacBooks. The brand is in fact centered solely on the ” express repair of smartphones and tablets “, as Fnac / Darty reminds us at the start of its press release.
