Thijs Römer’s 13-year-old daughter was photographed by a paparazzo from gossip magazine Weekend while walking through a festival site with her mother Katja Schuurman.
Thijs Römer is as good as written off now that he has been convicted of sexual offenses against underage girls, but everyone agrees that the 13-year-old daughter he has with Katja Schuurman must be protected as much as possible. Some therefore also have difficulty with the media attention that there is for this abuse case.
Fully recognizable
The Weekend is a little looser with this. This week the gossip magazine is publishing a whole photo series in which the teenage girl walks around the grounds of the theater festival De Parade with mother Katja. On the cover only her back can be seen, but in the magazine itself she is portrayed completely recognizable.
Why did the magazine print these photos? “In the case of Katja, images say much more than words. While she tries to distract her daughter Sammie (…) the photos show that the visit of mother and daughter to the Parade in Amsterdam has not really become a very casual, pleasant mother-daughter outing”, can be read.
Distraction
According to the magazine, Katja ‘overwhelms’ her daughter with motherly love, but: “On the photos it seems that Katja sometimes no longer knows how to deal with all the details surrounding Thijs’s adultery and misconduct.”
There is not much to enjoy a cozy few hours, according to the magazine. “Katja is constantly looking at her mobile phone and every now and then you can read the desperation on her face. Judging by the photos, the news does not leave her stomach untouched.”
Katya furious?
It is almost inevitable that Katja is very disappointed with this photo report in the Weekend, because she naturally does not want her daughter to feel that she is being chased because of her father’s actions.
Incidentally, Katja herself also simply publishes photos of her daughter on her social media. She has too posted a photo from that festival in Amsterdam, but she can only be seen on it.
