Week of May: an approach to history in the present

In May 1810 the Buenos Aires City Council summoned the residents to the open council, and before the mobilization and the popular petition, he forced himself to Viceroy Cisneros to resign and the first autonomous government junta was formed, made up mostly of Creoles. Remembering that historical feat, the National historical museumlocated at Defensa 1600, invites you to celebrate the May revolution with various free proposals, starting on Thursday the 25th and ending on Sunday the 28th of May. On the national day, at 11:30 a.m., you can take a guided tour of “Time of Revolution”. The historical exhibition, in which the original revolutionary petition is found, proposes a new look to understand a founding stage of Argentine and American history.
