Week of Drenthe: Aid campaigns for Ukraine and off-road event at Ruinen banned

Drenthe is still in full action for victims of the war in Ukraine. Monday was a national day of action for Ukraine, in which RTV Drenthe also participates.

In many places in Drenthe, people are starting relief campaigns for victims of the war in Ukraine. Money is being collected, but also a lot of stuff for people who have fled or are still stuck in the country.

The first places where refugees from Ukraine will be received are also known this week. About 300 refugees from Ukraine come to Emmen. They will be housed in Parc Sandur and in the former Fletcher Hotel. The WMD office in Hoogeveen will be made available, with space for 25 refugees. Around 1 April, the Meppel hospital will also become available for 150 refugees from Ukraine. Isala is moving to a new hospital in Meppel.
