The website of Groningen Airport Eelde (GAE) airport was unavailable for a long time on Sunday afternoon. A pro-Russian hacker group claims to have directed a DDoS attack against the website, but GAE director Meiltje de Groot could not confirm that this was such an attack.
The airport’s other IT systems continued to function normally. Schiphol was also briefly affected by a ddos attack today, but their website remained accessible.
According to FalconFeeds, a platform for information about cyber threats, the hacker collective Net-Worker Alliance claims the attacks. This is a pro-Russian group, which regularly reports its cyber attacks via its own channel on the Telegram messaging service. It is unknown who exactly is behind that group.
