The website of Groningen Airport Eelde (GAE) airport has been inaccessible since early afternoon. A pro-Russian hacker group claims to have directed a DDoS attack against the website, but GAE director Meiltje de Groot could not confirm that this was such an attack.
De Groot says it is annoying that the site is inaccessible. The other IT systems at the airport are still working. We are working to get the website back online. Schiphol was also briefly affected by a ddos attack today, but their website remained accessible.
According to FalconFeeds, a platform for information about cyber threats, the hacker collective Net-Worker Alliance claims the attacks. This is a pro-Russian group, which regularly reports its cyber attacks via its own channel on the Telegram messaging service. It is unknown who exactly is behind that group.
