From June 25th to 29th the Fusion Festival will take place as usual at the Müritz Airpark airfield in Lärz, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania. While the approach situation could cause some headaches, the weather on the five festival days is also difficult to predict.
Recommendations of the editorial team
It becomes uncomfortable
One thing is certain: it will sometimes be uncomfortable! On Thursday (June 26), Schauer will be announced during the day. From the afternoon there are thunderstorms, with heavy rain, hail and storm gusts possible at temperatures up to 27 degrees. Even at night, individual showers and local thunderstorms are possible.
Friday the weather calms down a bit, but remains mixed. According to the weather forecast, there is a mix of sun and clouds, plus occasional showers. The thermometer climbs up to 24 degrees, and there are sometimes gusty wind. It can still rain at night.
Fusion Festival 2025: Weather on weekends
Rain is also possible on Saturday (the probability is 90 percent). It remains cloudy all day, partly with gusty wind, at 14 to 25 degrees. Sunday temperatures rise to 27 degrees. It is probably a little less cloudy, but the sun only appears occasionally.
Up to 80,000 visitors are expected at the Fusion Festival. Headliners are Andhim, Soft Loft and Warhaus. More information about tickets, line-up and arrival and departure can be found here.
What you should do at thunderstorms at festivals
1. Keep calm and inform
Keep an eye on the organizers or push messages via the festival app. Be sure to follow the instructions of the security personnel.
2. Look for safe refuge
Auto: is the safest place-looks like a Faraday cage. Stable buildings: concrete sanitary facilities, fixed shelters, technology containers (if allowed). Do not set under trees! Individual trees are particularly dangerous.
3. Avoid tent site
Tents do not offer protection against lightning strikes. Be sure to leave your tent when thunderstorms.
4. Leave open areas
Avoid stage areas, meadows or heights – there you are particularly exposed to lightning strikes. Also metal objects such as barrier grids or power boxes: keep your distance!
5. Correct behavior outdoors
Sabate yourself with closed legs on an insulating pad (e.g. sleeping mat). Don’t lie down! Make as small as possible.
Additional tips or check before:
- Activate weather apps with severe weather warnings (e.g. DWD warning weather, Katwarn)
- Remember emergency meeting points on the site
- Rain protection (e.g. Poncho) always have with you – but not with metal elements
