At first showers mainly fall over the west and northwest, but later in the day shower activity also increases in other places. The showers are therefore increasingly taking on a wintry character south of Sambre en Maas. There are snow showers in the Ardennes.
The mercury is a maximum of around 0 degrees in the High Fens, 5 or 6 degrees in the center to 7 degrees by the sea. The wind is blowing weak to moderate from westerly directions. At sea the wind is again blowing moderately from a more northerly angle.
In the evening and in the night to Thursday there will be some (winter) showers, especially over the north. Elsewhere it is often dry, but heavily clouded. The mercury is then around or slightly above freezing in the low areas of the country and around -2 degrees at the heights.
On Thursday, the RMI expects some winter showers, with most showers over the north and northwest of the country. A few snow showers would also cross the Ardennes here and there. Especially north of Sambre en Maas there may be some clearance. In Flanders, the mercury could still climb to 3 to 4 degrees, but in High Belgium it will continue to freeze slightly.
