This morning a rain zone will leave our country through the east and in the course of the afternoon clearing will gradually develop. That is the start of a few days in which sun and clouds alternate, but it remains almost dry. The mercury climbs to 18 degrees.
LOOK. Frank Duboccage expects better weather on Sunday and Monday
Today the maxima fluctuate between 14 degrees at the sea and in the high Ardennes and 16 to 18 degrees in most other regions in Flanders, according to the RMI. The wind is moderate, at sea sometimes quite strong from west-southwest, and clears to the west in the afternoon. Wind gusts are possible up to 55 kilometers per hour.
Tonight the low clouds will increase with a chance of a shower or some drizzle in the High Fens. The minima are between 5 and 9 degrees, with a weak to sometimes moderate wind from the northwest.
Tomorrow starts in many places in Flanders with lots of clouds. At sea, broad clear spells soon appear, which spread fairly quickly over the west of the country and later also appear in the center. Over the east it can take until evening before the sun really breaks through. Maximums are around 10 to 11 degrees in the High Fens, 12 degrees by the sea and around 16 or 17 degrees in the far west of the country. The wind is blowing weak to moderate from northerly directions.
Sunday it is sunny at first with sometimes some high cloud veils. Later it will be partly cloudy and cloud fields and clearances will alternate. It will remain almost dry with maxima between 11 and 15 degrees south of Sambre and Maas and 14 to 17 degrees elsewhere. The wind is weak to moderate from the east. At sea the wind becomes northeasterly in the afternoon.
Monday starts quite sunny in Flanders and rather cloudy over the south of the country. During the course of the day we get an alternation of broad sunny periods and a few cumulus clouds. It will remain largely dry with a chance of a local shower in the Ardennes. We achieve maxima of 13 to 16 degrees in the Ardennes and by the sea and 16 to 18 degrees locally elsewhere. There is a light wind from the northeast or variable directions, later shrinking to north to northwest.
Tuesday it will be cloudy with a chance of a few showers. It is a bit cooler with maxima around 11 or 12 degrees in the High Fens and 15 or 16 degrees in Belgian Lorraine. The wind will be moderate from the north.
Wednesday it will remain dry, although there may be a lot of low clouds over the northern half of the country. We expect broader clearances in the southern half of the country. The northeast wind blows weak to moderate and brings fresh air with maxima between 9 and 13 degrees.
Thursday it is often sunny with maxima of 12 to 17 degrees with a mostly moderate and sometimes quite powerful east to northeast wind at sea. The expectations for the next fourteen days show fairly soft air that seems to flow over our country with maxima climbing towards 20 degrees in the center of the country. However, sometimes the air mass can also be unstable or disturbed with an increasing chance of showers.
