“After today, the stormy weather will be over, but it can still blow quite a bit now and then,” said meteorologist from Weeronline Jaco van Wezel.
Six stormy days
It all started Wednesday night when Storm Dudley came through. On Friday, the stronger storm Eunice passed by and caused a lot of damage. For example, roof parts of ONC Parkdreef came loose and tree trunks and branches snapped like matchsticks.
And on Sunday and Monday, especially here on the coast, we have storm Franklin.
Peace?
We will not go directly from rain to sunshine, but from Tuesday 22 February it will stop with storms. There may still be strong winds, but heavy gusts of wind are no longer expected and we will get rain again in the afternoon.
The rest of the week there will be even more wind and rain. Wednesday is an exception, then probably a day of sun. From the weekend the weather really gets better: less wind and more sun.
