A bizarre mixture of Disney songs and tired political slogans on one side of the street, relaxed party members on the other.

In the Willy-Brandt-Haus on Wilhelmstraße, the SPD state leaders Franziska Giffey (44) and Raed Saleh (45) presented the coalition agreement to the comrades – in front of the building a small group of left-green activists demonstrated against it with singing and shouting.

Alexandra Julius Frölich (45): “On the whole I am very satisfied with the coalition agreement. There is an incredible amount of social-democratic potential there.”

“Black and red is a good option,” says Luca Höfer (20). His wish: “Just do a good job for the next three years and perform better again in the next election!”

“The best thing is when the SPD governs,” says Alexandra Julius Frölich (45). “I believe that there will be a majority among the members for black and red,” said Igor Brezovski (36).
