The climate between the Netherlands and Russia, already bleak due to the MH17 disaster, has become icy as a result of the Ukraine war. Three hundred years ago, when Tsar Peter the Great visited the Amsterdam VOC wharf, the relationship had even cooled to sub-zero temperatures.
