We are giving away the new album “Never Let Me Go” by Placebo

With “Never Let Me Go” Placebo released their eighth studio album at the end of March. The LP went straight to number 1 in the album charts in Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

The band had previously released four songs from the new album. Most recently, the single “Happy Birthday in the Sky” was released. Listen to the single here:

Never Let Me Go is the band’s first album in almost 10 years. According to Brian Molko and Stefan Olsdal, it was completed at the beginning of 2020. But then, as is well known, the corona pandemic came and threw a spanner in the works for the two. The two had planned a tour at the time, which is now to be made up for in autumn 2022.

“Never Let Me Go” follows the previous album “Loud Like Love”, which was released in 2013, two years late. Since the band’s founding in 1996, Molke and Olsdal have worn out three drummers, which is why the new album should actually do without a drummer. Now two different ones can be heard on the album.
