With “Humble Quest” Maren Morris has released her third studio album. The pre-release “Circles Around This Town” can already be heard.
Maren Morris rose to fame as the voice of the Zedd/Grey hit “The Middle,” which was released in early 2018. Since then she has released two albums and several singles. In 2019 her track “My Church” won the Grammy for “Best Song of the Year”. Since then she has collaborated with musicians such as JP Saxe, Ryan Hurd, Niall Horan and Hozier.
The single “Circles Around This Town”, which she co-wrote with Julia Michaels, was released as a harbinger of her new album. The track was produced by Greg Kurstin. The music video for the song is shot in the style of the 90s and should be understood as a homage to Morris role models Sheryl Crow, Alanis Morissette and Fiona Apple.
