“It’s terrible what happened.”
Beautiful side of The Voice
Beau asks Waylon how he sees the situation. Then the singer lets you know that he has always been on the bright side of the program. “It has been there and always will be,” said Waylon. He continues: “This story has victims and victims. Tonight we sit at the table like victims. We wait a while, so that the victims have all the space they need. They should be able to tell their story.”
‘never seen anything’
And then it becomes the TVOHcoach too much. “A lot has happened,” he explains, tears rolling down his cheeks. “I’ve been there for six years. I never saw or noticed anything. I almost blame myself for that, if it was on the surface like that.”
‘Not being able to offer a safe place’
Because even within his team – it turns out afterwards – things happened that were unacceptable. “Apparently I haven’t been able to offer those people a safe place either. I blame myself for that.” Finally, Waylon states that everyone within the program has a certain position of power. “You have a responsibility. And you should keep your paws and words away from others,” concludes the singer.
