In all neighborhoods of the city you see the bright yellow elderly bus. The voluntary drivers bring Zoetermeerse elderly and people with a mobility problem six days a week on bus lines 65 and 66 of Palette Welfare To their destination.

About the elderly bus

The elderly bus, which has been around in Zoetermeer since 1983, stops at the fixed bus stops in the city. Some stops are called ‘ringing stops’. This means that you can already request a traveler one day in advance or can stop the bus driver at that stop. In 2022, the old elderly buses were replaced by new, yellow ones. Before that time, volunteers with other models drove through Zoetermeer.

Indebuurt dived in the archives for old pictures of the elderly bus. Which do you remember?
