The Greek national coach Evangelos Doudesis of the Netherlands seized the opportunity to get many young players into action. He could especially be satisfied with the first half of the one-sided game. Simone van de Kraats scored five goals for the Orange squad.
The United States and South Africa are the other opponents of the Netherlands in the group. The game between those teams ended in a 24-2 victory for America, the reigning world and Olympic champion.
Only the group winner will qualify for the quarter-finals. The number 2 and 3 of the group continue to compete in an intermediate round.
