Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange) 2022

Watchhouse (formerly Mandolin Orange) is a folk duo from North Carolina. The band consists of musicians Andrew Marlin and Emily Frantz, who are married to each other.

Watchhouse was founded in 2009 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina has released seven studio albums to date. Most recently, they released a self-titled project on August 13, 2021 with “Watchhouse”. You can find the stream for the album at the end of the article.

In addition, Andrew Marlin released two instrumental albums as a solo artist. On February 5, 2021 “Witching Hour“. This was followed on February 19, 2021 “Fable & Fire“.

Watchhouse

In April 2021, the band announced that they had changed their name from Mandolin Orange to Watchhouse. Marlin said: “Mandolin Orange was born in my 21-year-old mind. The name is not what I aspire to when I write” and that the band’s new name reflects his true intentions as an artist.
