After two years it is finally possible again: the big carnival parade in Zwaag. The ‘largest above the rivers’ will be broadcast live this afternoon between 14.30 and 16.00 on NH Nieuws and regional broadcaster WEEFF.
With 42 walking groups and floats, it promises to be another beautiful parade. Actually, the parade would be at the end of February. But in December, due to the corona rules still in force at the time, it was decided to cancel the event to be moved to today. A good choice, it turns out.
It was still a while gear up for the participants to finish everything in time, but we still managed to celebrate the parade as usual this afternoon. And as it turned out earlier this week, Zwaag is also yearning for a carnival party.

Actually, the 55th, and anniversary edition, would be held in 2021. But that didn’t happen because of corona. But Zwaag wouldn’t be Zwaag if carnival wasn’t yet in a creative way would be a little celebrated.
