Juventus Turin is apparently looking towards FC Bayern in its search for personnel reinforcements. The Italian record champions could therefore get serious about a midfield star from the Bundesliga soccer team.
According to the portal “todofichajes”, Juventus is keen on Leon Goretzka. The people of Turin are said to have identified the 28-year-old as a potential new addition to the central midfield. However, it is still unclear whether the traditional club will present itself in Munich in January or in the summer.
Goretzka still has a contract with FC Bayern until 2026. Signing the Bochum native would be a “difficult operation” for Juventus, writes “todofichajes”. After all, Goretzka plays a big role at FC Bayern, even though he has a new competitor in the race for a regular place in the central midfield with new signing Konrad Laimer.
It is completely uncertain whether FC Bayern would even be interested in selling Goretzka early. There had already been transfer rumors surrounding the national player in the summer. However, the right-footed player quickly made it clear that he wanted to stay on Säbener Straße.
Are Juventus serious about Goretzka from FC Bayern?
Juventus currently has several options for the midfield center with Adrien Rabiot, Nicolò Fagioli, Fabio Miretti, Hans Nicolussi Caviglia and Weston McKennie. However, the latter was recently associated with BVB, among others.
The traditional Italian club could reinvest possible transfer income for McKennie in a purchase of Goretzka, speculates “todofichajes”.
Juventus is currently in third place in Serie A with 17 points. Only the traditional Milan clubs AC (21 points) and Inter (19) are in an even better position after the first eight matchdays in Italy’s top division.
