The Austrian watch supplier Doppelganger GmbH has filed for bankruptcy.
Bankruptcy proceedings were opened at the competent regional court in Salzburg, the creditor protection organization Alpenländer Kreditorenverband (AKV Europa) announced on Monday. The court appointed Daniel Schöpf from the law firm Schöpf & Maurer Rechtsanwälte as administrator. There is no provision for self-administration in the restructuring process.
The Doppelgänger brand is managed by Stefan Kieninger and Heinz Fladl. The Salzburg-based company is the provider of the NGC-42: Double Orbital Indicators watch, which displays hours and minutes on a non-linear scale. The pieces are currently only offered at the headquarters and at Jewelery Estate in Vienna.
