“The regime in Tehran has openly and knowingly complied with the deaths of innocent Ukrainians on Ukrainian soil,” said John Kirby, a spokesman for the National Security Council.
The possible delivery of surface-to-surface missiles from Iran to Iraq has not yet been confirmed, according to Kirby. “But that remains a source of concern,” it sounds.
Tehran, for its part, denies such plans. However, the country also claims that it has not supplied any drones to Russia, contrary to what Ukraine and several Western countries state.
