According to US models, it should be up to 46 degrees in Germany next week. But there is no longer any sign of the murderous heat in the current forecasts. where did she go
Meteorologist Karsten Brandt from donnerwetter.de: “The prognosis was perhaps a bit exaggerated, but not fundamentally wrong. The heat comes, but later. On Tuesday up to 42 degrees are possible in the west in the area around Cologne, ”said the weather expert.
But where did the missing four degrees go? “The problem is: If you go beyond a week in the forecast, the inaccuracies become larger and larger. Small mistakes that are in every model add up and can make a difference of a few degrees in the end,” explains Brand.
In other words, forecasts are difficult – especially when they relate to the more distant future.
Dominik Jung from Wetter.net was also skeptical about the 46-degree forecast: “That also seemed exaggerated to me. Now we are again at a maximum of 40 to 41 degrees. I’ll put it this way: a model that recognized the upcoming heat wave almost two weeks ago… Respect!”
Meteorologists, on the other hand, can determine much more precisely what the weather will look like in the next few days.
This is how it should continue for the next few days
▶︎ Sunday: 14 to 25 degrees. Sunny (especially in the southwest) to cloudy.
▶︎ Monday: up to 36 degrees in the west, in the northeast at most 28 degrees.
▶︎ Tuesday: Low temperatures of 29 degrees, west the thermometer rises up to 42 degrees.
▶︎ Wednesday: gloomy but warm; mostly cloudy across the country, in the south even isolated rain with up to 38 degrees.
▶︎ Thursday: Maximum temperatures of 34 degrees in the south and east, the west and north cool down to 21 degrees.
▶︎ Friday: Rain – almost everywhere in the country. In the north it will remain dry but cloudy. Temperatures: between 21 and 29 degrees.
