Was marriage Sylvie Meis fake? “It was a marriage of convenience!”

Sylvie Meis continues to raise questions with the divorce from her beloved Niclas Castello. It could just be that this was indeed a fake marriage, says show connoisseur Rob Goossens.

There are hardly any pictures of them together and they mainly saw each other during holidays and weekends: Sylvie Meis and Niclas Castello. Now that the couple has divorced after two and a half years, critics are wondering if this wasn’t just a PR marriage. Story boss Guido den Aantractor is one of the people who believes in a marriage of convenience.

Fake marriage

And Rob Goossens, the show connoisseur of RTL Boulevard, also agrees. “I have thought from the beginning and of course I don’t know, but the feeling came over me that it was just a marriage of convenience. That Sylvie needed a new lover to get into the picture to stay,” he says The BLVD Podcast.

He continues: “And that Niclas, I don’t trust him. He plays tricks with his art too, to be the successful artist. But when I see those works, I think: well, I really wouldn’t give a euro for it.”

Nicholas Steenwijk

Co-host Luuk Ikink shares the doubts about Niclas. “You never really see anything of him anywhere in any place.”

Rob: “No, of course not. It’s a bit like the German Samantha Steenwijk. We know that Samantha is a singer, but there is no one who can name a single song of hers.”

Luuk: “Maybe it helped him. Has he really become a more famous artist because he had sex with Sylvie and Sylvie showed up a few times during an exhibition. And that he then went to Saint-Tropez for those photos once a year in the water, in the surf.”

Weird construction

It’s all very suspicious, says Luuk. “We will never find out what exactly happened there, what a strange construction this was. (…) This is becoming a kind of enigma, this woman. And I don’t have… You just really don’t know for sure what exactly is going on there.”

Rob: “I hope she’s just… At least she’s just happy. A bit of a clincher of course, but… I hope it’s not all just expressions that she doesn’t really know what she wants with her life.”

Nice woman

Luuk does wish Sylvie luck. “You always hear that she is just a really nice woman. I have never spoken to her, but you just hear it from everyone.”

He concludes: “A number of reporters here with us have gone to her to interview her. They all came back and they said, ‘Well, that’s just a really nice woman. Not at all what you think of her.’ Then you just wish her luck.”
