“Warning to everyone” – Investor attacks club management

The situation at the Munich third division team threatens to escalate further. After the managing director unexpectedly left the company early, the investor intervened – with clear words.

1860 Munich just can’t calm down. The crisis-ridden third division team announced on Friday the immediate departure of the previous financial director Marc-Nicolai Pfeifer, who was supposed to leave at the end of the season anyway. Pfeifer’s successor in office is Oliver Mueller.

On Sunday, “HAM International”, the company owned by 1860 investor Hasan Ismaik, spoke out about the personnel – after Ismaik’s brother, 1860 supervisory board member Yahya Ismaik, had already sharply criticized the situation at the “Lions” a few days ago (more read about it here).

The investor also now found clear words about Pfeifer/Mueller’s personnel. The reasons for Pfeifer’s abrupt end were “us, the majority shareholder of TSV Munich
von 1860 GmbH & Co. KGaA, has not yet been communicated,” says a press release. And further: “The way in which this decision was communicated to Mr. Pfeifer does not correspond to our idea of appropriate treatment of people.”

“Unity and Cooperation”

Then the club’s leadership around President Robert Reisinger is sharply attacked: It fits “with the new tone that is now being cultivated by a radical minority within 1860.” This external representation is not advantageous – on the contrary: “This should be a warning to everyone who is now working for TSV Munich von 1860 GmbH & Co. KGaA at the behest of the eV.”

Mueller’s appointment as the new finance director and the appointment of Christian Werner as the new sports director also need to be questioned: “We cannot at this point determine whether this was done legally
because the eV has not yet been able to provide any documents despite being asked to do so. The same applies to the alleged appointment of Dr. Werner as managing director. In the current commercial register of TSV Munich from 1860 Verwaltungs-GmbH, Dr. In any case, Werner is still not registered.”

The company emphasized that it wanted “unity and cooperation” and hoped that “further damage to the club and the professional football team can be avoided.” A reaction from the club management is still pending. But things don’t seem to be quiet at 1860 Munich for the time being.
