Warning of severe thunderstorms in Berlin in the afternoon

On Saturday, people in the capital region can expect local thunderstorms. At noon, the German Weather Service issued an official warning for Berlin and parts of Brandenburg.

After a partly foggy and often cloudy start to the day, there were local showers, the German Weather Service (DWD) announced on Saturday morning.

From noon there will be more cumulus clouds and rain as well as regional thunderstorms. Sometimes there can be “heavy heavy rain”, hail and stormy gusts.

For Berlin, the DWD warned of severe thunderstorms with heavy rain in the afternoon until 4:30 p.m.

There was also a thunderstorm warning for the north-east of Brandenburg and for the area north-west of Berlin.

The maximum temperatures on Saturday: 21 to 25 degrees.

On Sunday night the weather calms down and becomes increasingly clear and dry. The temperatures drop to 13 to 10 degrees.

Sunday dry and up to 29 degrees

On Sunday According to the DWD, it will be friendlier and mostly dry with maximum temperatures of 25 to 29 degrees. Only in the Uckermark to the Oderbruch can it occasionally rain like showers.

On Monday it will be mostly cloudy, the temperatures will be between 26 and 29 degrees. Thunderstorms and heavy rain are possible.
