The KNMI warns of strong thunderstorms that are approaching. Code yellow applies to Brabant and Limburg from six o’clock on Sunday evening.
There is a risk of hail and wind gusts during the thunderstorms. According to the KNMI, a lot of rain can fall in a short time, resulting in local flooding.
Roosmarijn Knol van Weerplaza expects those thunderstorms mainly in the east of the province. “If you are in the vicinity of Eindhoven, Helmond or Cuijk, you are in the corner where the center of gravity of the showers seems to be.”
Clammy and sultry
The weather warning applies to Brabant and Limburg until midnight on Sunday. In Overijssel, Gelderland, Drenthe, Friesland and Groningen, the warning is in force until seven o’clock on Monday morning.
According to Roosmarijn, a damp and sultry Sunday awaits us until the showers arrive. “It will be 22 to 25 degrees. There is not too much wind during the day. Force three, from a northeasterly direction.”
