As a viewer you step into the story and feel how deep Sabbe had to go to finish. “How crazy is he? It’s fantastic that you can do something like this as a Belgian. That you can achieve something so phenomenal,” says an enthusiastic spectator. The documentary also brings back all the emotions of that time. “It’s amazing how calm we seemed, because a lot of things were going through our heads at the time,” says his friend, brother-in-law and supervisor Joren Biebuyck.
Karel and Joren will soon also present the film in Kinepolis Ghent, Antwerp and Kortrijk.
