As the government tries again on Thursday to get its budget in order, there is a shadow of uncertainty over Belgium’s accounts. The one thing there is no doubt about is that the well is only getting deeper. The Ukraine crisis, corona provisions and investments in defense would push the extra spending to more than 2.5 billion euros.
