Wandering walrus Freya killed by Norwegians | Abroad

Freya is the same animal that rested on a Dutch submarine last year, media report. The walrus again became a public favorite this year. The animal climbed into a fjord near the Norwegian capital Oslo on boats that sometimes did not survive.

Freya swam around the Dutch coast for a while last year, and then lay on the submarine Zr.Ms. Walrus class dolphin. The Dutch nature organization SOS Dolfijn calls the report that Freya has been killed unbelievable. “There were still plenty of options to get the situation safe again. Enforcement, impose a temporary swimming ban, drive out….”, tweets SOS Dolphin.

Usually, walruses live much further north in the Arctic.
